Hi to everybody! I’ll be examining Marilyn’s Skincare with M blog this week as a part of our final peer review. As I visited her homepage, I noticed that her website’s general layout and style are simple, making it appear clean. While it doesn’t have a distinctive logo like some brands, you can tell from her title that she refers to it as “M.” Similar to the Cactus Club Café that we earlier covered in class, even if it doesn’t employ color or pattern to represent the brand, in the future individuals will have the ability to distinguish it when they look at it for an extended period.
This blog primarily focuses on offering valuable lifestyle, health, and beauty advice. Her marketing strategy encourages viewers to learn more about skincare procedures by giving them guidance and ideas about beauty products routines, products, and techniques based on her knowledge and experience. The four main content categories addressed on this site are the AM/PM routine, self-care, product favs, and body care.
Regarding business strategy, she used various social media platforms to persuade the audience to read her personally and raise website traffic. She now has accounts on Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube that I can access through her website, which help her market herself and reach new audiences. While keeping an active social media presence, uploading various types of material, such as videos and pictures on each site, like what she did, is a fantastic opportunity to increase her brand’s visibility and interact with users. For instance, she uploads her daily life and engages with her audience on her YouTube channel using pre-recorded videos. As more people subscribe to her channel, she may potentially receive sponsorship from YouTube ads, which is an impressive way to make funds. Her Instagram and Pinterest profiles typically involve short reels, unlike YouTube, where she uploads longer pieces. According to my knowledge, the reel can connect her with Instagram users who may not naturally follow her. And these users are from all over the world, but because she posts Reels, a straightforward and efficient method, they may be reached, intrigued, and converted into new followers. However, I ran into a situation where, when I clicked on the TikTok link on her About Me page, I was sent to the TikTok home page rather than her profile. She may need to validate whether the link is the issue or the problem is on my end.
It is also worth noting that one of the categories, Skincare products, that I’ve been loving, is highly useful for helping the audience know the name and brand so they can explore and purchase. In the future, she might even have a chance to collaborate with these manufacturers to provide her fans incentives like discounts if they buy through her introduction. In conclusion, I enjoy this site and will share it with my female friends so they may enjoy it!
